Mr. Isidro Santiago Vazquez,67, entered eternal rest Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at the Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. Isidro was born May 15, 1953 in Mexico to Santiago and Isabel (Martinez) Vazquez. He lived in McAllen for most of his life. Isidro worked in the oil field for more than 30 years. Isidro enjoyed family gatherings, traveling, fixing things around the house, and he loved to Bar-B-Que. He was a beloved husband, son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Isidro was preceded in death by his parents.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife-Rosabel Chapa Vasquez; His children- Ana (Ronald) Rivers, Rocio (Victor) Gomez, Wendy (Cesar) Gonzalez, Belinda (Jesus) Irlas, Santiago (Kristine) Vazquez; His Siblings- Ester Garcia, Virginia Vazquez, Enrique Vazquez, Juan Vazquez; Nine Grandchildren- Italia Gonzalez, Ryker Rivers, Victor Gomez IV, Rayden Rivers, Ian Gonzalez, Isaias Irlas, Adelyn Vazquez, Isabelle Gonzalez, and Lilah Vazquez.
A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Rivera Funeral Home, 1901 Pecan Blvd in McAllen from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM with the recital of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM. Funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, April 30, 2021 at 10:00 AM At St.Joseph the Worker Church of McAllen. Interment will follow to Roselawn Cemetery.
