Jacinto Hernandez Olvera

Alton ~ Jacinto Hernandez Olvera, 89, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at STHS ER Mission. He was born on Saturday, August 17, 1935 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, the son of Rafael Hernandez and Enemecia Olvera.

He is survived by his wife: Benigna Gonzalez Hernandez; children: Jacinto Hernandez Gonzalez, Evaristo Hernandez Gonzalez, Maria N. Hernandez Gonzalez, Oralia Hernandez Gonzalez and Enedina Hernandez Gonzalez; siblings: Juan Hernandez, Andres Hernandez, Mario Hernandez, Clara Hernandez, Maria Felix Hernandez, Rosa Hernandez and Pifania Hernandez: 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church, 621 W. Main, Alton. Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Thursday, June 12, 2025  with the Holy Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home, 1813 N, Conway Ave., Mission.  Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of Mission.
