Jaime Sandoval, Sr. Obituary

Jaime Joel Sandoval, Sr., 73, entered eternal rest on May 9, 2026. He was born on May 21, 1952. He was preceded in death by his parents, Aaron and Elma Sandoval; his brother, Abel Sandoval; and his sister, Alma Nora Ibarra.

Jaime is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Cristela R. Sandoval; his son, Jaime Joel Sandoval, Jr.; and his daughter, Krystal Sandoval Treviño and her husband Charlie. He also leaves behind the three grandchildren he adored: Summer Sandoval and her fiancé Chris Reyna, AJ Treviño, and Noelle Treviño. Jaime was eagerly awaiting the arrival of his first great-grandchild, a baby girl, who already brought him so much joy and anticipation. He is also survived by his brothers, Aaron (Janie) Sandoval, Jr.; Juan (Yolanda) Sandoval; Rudy (Lydia) Sandoval; Ricky Sandoval; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jaime was a proud graduate of McAllen High School and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He also attended Pan American University. He dedicated 30 years of service to the State of Texas before retiring in 2019.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching western shows, doing yard work around the house, and was Mr. Fix It. He loved watching his favorite teams play, the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Astros. Above all, Jaime treasured time spent with his family. Whether barbequing together, taking family vacations, or simply enjoying each other’s company, those moments brought him the greatest happiness.

His grandchildren were truly the loves of his life. Jaime was their biggest supporter, helping coach, cheering from the stands, and never missing a game or special event. His love, devotion, and presence will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
