Javier Juan Cantu

McAllen - Mr. Javier Juan Cantu entered into eternal rest on Thursday, April 11, 2019 surrounded by  his family in McAllen. Javier was born on June 24, 1962 in China, Nuevo Leon Mexico to Javier and Angelica (Treviño) Cantu. He has lived in McAllen for most of his life and will be dearly missed by his family.

Javier is survived by his loving parents: Javier and Angelica; sisters: Maria Magdalena Sarmiento, Marisela Cantu, San Juanita Cantu, Myrna Tamez, Sandra Tijerina and Erika Tijerina; numerous nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, April 12, 2019 at Rivera Funeral Home,1901 Pecan Blvd. in McAllen from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a celebration of life service at 6:30 pm followed by the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:30 pm. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 10:00 am at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in McAllen. Cremation will follow.
