Mission - Javier Angel Vargas, 54, passed away on Saturday January 26, 2019. He was born on Sunday March 8, 1964 in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico the son of Juan and Guadalupe (Ayala) Vargas.

He is survived by his wife: Maria B. Vargas of Mission; two daughters: Olympia del Angel Vargas and Grecia del Angel Vargas of Mission; his father: Juan Enrique Vargas of Reynosa; siblings: Juan Enrique Vargas, Jr., Noelia Vargas, Ana Bertha Vargas, Nicolas Vargas, Virginia Vargas, Jesus Vargas and Graciela Guadalupe Vargas

Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Rivera Funeral Home, 1901 Pecan Blvd., McAllen. Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:30 am on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Interment will follow at 1:00 pm at Valley Memorial Gardens, 3605 North Taylor Rd., Mission.
