Joe G. Diaz

McAllen ~ Joe G. Diaz, 58, was born on September 3, 1962 to Jose Tito and Esther Diaz of San Isidro, TX., Joe entered eternal rest on Friday, December 18, 2020 at Edinburg Regional Medical Center after a long battle with Covid 19.

Joe is preceded in death by his mom, Esther Diaz and sister, Alicia D. Garza.

Joe is survived by his loving wife "my lady" as he caller her: Rosa (Tovar) Diaz of 32 years; three children: Audrey Lee, Julian Tito, and Noah Ivan Diaz all of Edinburg, TX. His children were his pride and joy. He taught them everything he knew about hunting, fishing and everything in between. Not only was Joe a loving husband and wonderful father he would always be there for all his sisters, cousins and friends. Tina Lopez of Pharr, Josie (Juan†) Mills, Diana (David) Uballe, Martha (Sergio) Cerda of Edinburg, Dina (Branch) Allen of McAllen; Juan Antonio of Falcon Heights, Leslie, Rafaela of Edinburg, Marco of San Antonio and Rolando Tovar of Austin, TX; and his father; Jose Tito Diaz. Furthermore he has countless nephews and nieces. He will be missed dearly.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 with the recital of the Holy Rosary at 6:30 pm at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Cremation will follow at a later date. Services arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.  

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and keeping with social distancing orders, all necessary restrictions will be observed in order to protect the health and safety of those in attendance.  Wear face coverings while inside building.  Continue to practice social distancing while inside the funeral home chapel.  We continue to ask that those at risk or those not feeling well stay home and reach out to the family through our obituary page.
