John Jerome Gager

Gager, John Jerome of McAllen, Texas age 58, passed away Friday, December 17, 2021. John was born on February 10, 1963, in Flint, Michigan, the son of D. Jerome "Jerry" and Carol Gager. John is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Emma Rodriguez Gager and his daughter Heather Victoria.

John took great pride in Heather's education, musical performances, and together they raised German Shepherds. It was with immense delight that John and Emma sent Heather off to Wellesley College in Boston this fall. John earned his BSA Eagle Scout award and loved the outdoors.

John is also survived by three siblings, Susan (Doug) Manyen, Robert (Kim) Gager, and Carol Anne (Jeff) Nickelson; mother-in-law, 5 sisters-in-law, 1 brother-in-law and several nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Carol Gager and his brother Jim Gager.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 19, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm with a Rosary at 4:30 pm at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.
