Jose Hernandez Obituary

Jose Arturo Hernandez, known affectionately as Arturo to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2024, at the age of 55 in Mission, Texas. Born on March 19, 1969, in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, to loving parents Pedro and Juanita Sepulveda Hernandez, Arturo was a cherished soul who made an indelible mark on the hearts of those he encountered.

Arturo was a proud graduate of Mission High School's class of 1988, whose intelligence and wit shone brightly throughout his life. He dedicated many years of service as a Sub Contractor at Willet Hauser Architectural Stained Glass and later as a Superintendent at Caddell Construction, where his hard work and dedication were evident in the quality and integrity of his projects.

Arturo's life was a testament to the love he carried for his family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Maria Del Rosario Hernandez; his beloved children, Virginia Lizette Hernandez, Jose Arturo Hernandez, and Carlos Manuel Hernandez; and his treasured grandchildren, Angel Coy, Jeselle Coy, Nathan Jayden Servin, Sofia Arianna Hernandez, and Elias Gael Hernandez. He was a loving brother to Nora, Irma, Claudia, Fidencio, and Pedro Jr., and they, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, will hold his memory dear.

A man of many interests, Arturo found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He could often be found watching a Texas Rangers baseball game, his enthusiasm for the sport as infectious as his laughter. An expert at the grill, he was the undisputed champion of BBQ, a talent he showcased at family gatherings that he cherished deeply. Fishing was not just a pastime but a way for him to connect with nature and find peace. Above all, his greatest delight was in spending time with his grandkids, each moment with them more precious than the last.

Arturo's generosity knew no bounds, and his humor brought light into every room. Those who knew him would describe him as not just intelligent and generous, but also as exceptionally funny—a man who could turn any frown upside down.

In the words of William Shakespeare, "All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players." Arturo played his role in this world with grace and kindness, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter. While he may have left this stage of life, the memory of Jose Arturo Hernandez will forever be etched in the hearts of those he loved. His spirit, a beacon of joy and generosity, will continue to guide and inspire his family and friends for generations to come.

The world is a little less bright without Arturo's presence, but his light will continue to shine in the stories shared, the lessons he taught, and the love he gave. He will be profoundly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing this remarkable man.

As we say farewell to Jose Arturo Hernandez, we celebrate a life well-lived, a man well-loved, and a legacy that will endure. Rest in peace, Arturo, until we meet again.
