Jose Chavez

Mission ~ Jose Chavez, 75, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 4, 2026 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 18, 1950 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, the son of Jose Chavez and Maria Flavia Garcia.

He is survived by his children: Jose Chavez (Nune), Jose Chavez (Joe), Maria Conception Soto, Maria Isabel Cardenas, Alberto Chavez (Coco), Albert Chavez (Beto) and Porfirio Chavez (Pilo); brother: Felipe Jaramillo; 36 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm Wednesday, January 7, 2026 with a Memorial Service at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home, 1813 N. Conway Ave., Mission.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of Mission.

Mission ~ José Chávez, de 75 años, falleció el domingo 4 de enero de 2026 en su hogar, rodeado de su querida familia. Nació el 18 de abril de 1950 en San Luis Potosí, México, hijo de José Chávez y María Flavia García.

Le sobreviven sus hijos: José Chávez (Nune), José Chávez (Joe), María Concepción Soto, María Isabel Cárdenas, Alberto Chávez (Coco), Alberto Chávez (Beto) y Porfirio Chávez (Pilo); su hermano Felipe Jaramillo; 36 nietos y 10 bisnietos. El velorio se llevará a cabo de 2:00 pm a 9:00 pm el miércoles 7 de enero de 2026, con un servicio conmemorativo a las 7:00 pm en la Funeraria Rivera, ubicada en 1813 N. Conway Ave., Mission.

Los arreglos de cremación han sido confiados al cuidado de Rivera Funeral Home de Mission.
