Jose Guadalupe Colunga

Alton ~ Jose Guadalupe Colunga, 77, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at Mission Regional Medical Center. He was born on Tuesday, July 13, 1948 in Edinburg, TX, the son of Amadeo Colunga and Oralia Serna. 

He is survived by his wife: Sylvia Brown Colunga; three sons: Jose G. Colunga, Jr., Carlos Colunga and George Colunga; four sisters: Carolina, Martha, Thelma and Laly; seven brothers: Jose Maria, Jorge, Juan, Sergio, Amadeo Jr., Mando, and Mario; 17 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm Friday, September 5, 2025 with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home, 1813 N. Conway Ave., Mission. Services have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of Mission.
