Jose Eligio Rios

Mission, Texas Mr. Jose Eligio Rios,77, entered eternal rest February 2, 2021 at Edinburg Regional Medical Hospital. Jose was born December 1, 1943 in Mexico to Jesus and Maria Rios. Jose lived in Mission for most of his life.

Jose Eligio Rios is survived by his Children-Jose Eligio Rios, Jr. Edwin Rios, Edna Garcia, Eric Rios; His grandchildren- Jose Eligio Rios III, Andreana Rios, Haley Rios, Ricardo Garcia, Edrick Garcia, Eric Alexander Rios; Siblings- Alfredo Rios, Irma Carreon, Jesus Rios, Lucy Rios-Medellin, Margarita Vasquez, Esther Martinez, Felix Rios, and Gelo Rios.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and keeping with social distancing orders, all necessary restrictions will be observed in order to protect the health and safety of those in attendance. Wear face coverings while inside building. Continue to practice social distancing while inside the funeral home chapel. We continue to ask that those at risk or those not feeling well stay home and reach out to the family through our obituary page.

Visitation will be Sunday, February 7, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM with the recital of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM at Rivera Funeral Home,1813 N Conway in Mission. Funeral procession will depart at 10:15 AM Monday, February 8, 2021 from the funeral home for a drive by blessing at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Burial will follow at 11:00 AM at Garden of Angels Cemetery in Abram.
