Mr. Jose E. Landeros, 81, entered eternal rest Friday, October 11, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Jose was born on April 13, 1938 in Mexico to Jose Ventura Landeros and Rosa (Mendez) Landeros. Jose lived in Alton for the past 19 years. He enjoyed and loved listing to music, especially Las Jilguerillas and Los Alegres de Teran. He also enjoyed the outdoors, spending time with family and travelling. Jose E. Landeros truly lived life to its fullest. Jose was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Jose Ventura Landeros.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife: Maria del Refugio (Piedra) Landeros; his children: Gerardo, Martha, Agustina, Nieves, Jose, Martin, Josefina and Isabel; his brother: Pascual Landeros Mendez; 21 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends will be Monday, October 14, 2019 at Rivera Funeral Home,1813 N. Conway in Mission from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm with the recital of the Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 11:00 am at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Alton. Interment will follow to Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of Mission.

El Sr.Jose E. Landeros, de 81 años, entró al descanso eterno el viernes 11 de octubre de 2019 en su residencia rodeado de su amada familia. José nació el 13 de abril de 1938 en México, hijo de José Landeros y María (Méndez) Landeros. José vivió en Alton durante los últimos 19 años. Disfrutó y le encantó escuchar música, especialmente Las Jilguerillas y Los Alegres de Terán. También disfrutaba del aire libre, pasar tiempo con la familia y viajar. Jose E. Landeros realmente vivió la vida al máximo. José fue precedido en la muerte por sus padres y su hijo José Ventura Landeros.

Queda para apreciar su memoria su amada esposa: María de Refugio (Piedra) Landeros; sus hijos: Gerardo, Martha, Agustina, Nieves, José, Martín, Josefina y Isabel; un hermano: Pascual Landeros Méndez; 21 nietos y 23 bisnietos.

Una reunión de familiares y amigos será el lunes 14 de octubre de 2019 en Rivera Funeral Home, 1813 N. Conway de Mission de 1:00 p.m. a 9:00 p.m. con el Santo Rosario que comenzará a las 7:00 p.m. Los servicios funerarios serán el martes 15 de octubre de 2019 a las 11:00 a.m.en la Iglesia Católica San Martín de Porres en Alton. Seguirá el sepelio al cementerio de Valley Memorial Gardens en Mission. Los arreglos funerarios se le han confiado a la Funeraria Rivera de Mission.
