Jose Alberto Villalpando, Sr.

Penitas ~ Jose Alberto Villalpando, Sr., 65, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at Mission Regional Medical Center. He was born June 5, 1955 in Arguelles, Tamaulipas, Mexico, the son of Estanislao Villalpando and Maria Cortina. 

He is survived by his wife: Elizabeth R. Villalpando; three sons: Jesus Villalpando, Jose Fernando Villalpando and Edgar Ivan Villalpando.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 9, 2020 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home, 1813 N. Conway Ave., Mission, Texas. Service on Monday, August 10, 2020 will be at 11 am at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints 100 Birch. La Joya, Texas. Interment will follow at 2:00 pm at Santa Fe Celestial Catholic Church in Mission. Service arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of Mission. 

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and keeping with social distancing orders, all necessary restrictions will be observed in order to protect the health and safety of those in attendance. Wear face coverings while inside building. Continue to practice social distancing while inside the funeral home chapel. We continue to ask that those at risk or those not feeling well stay home and reach out to the family through our obituary page.
