Jovita Sierra

Jovita Sierra, long-time resident of McAllen, passed away on September 25, 2020 with her loving family at her side.  She was born in Kleberg, TX on February 25, 1928 to Encarnacion and Mercedes (Quiroz) Sierra.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her two brothers, Juan (Jose) Sierra and Mario Sierra and her daughter, Mercedes Sierra.

She is survived by her sons, Carlos Gandara and Manuel Gandara, daughter Alma Gandara Cooper and her husband David, her daughter Marisela Munoz, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 am to 11:00 am Tuesday, September 29, 2020 with at Rivera Funeral Home of Mission. Graveside Service will be held at 11:30 am at Santa Fe Celestial Gardens Cemetery in Mission. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of Mission.
