Juan Perez Obituary

Juan Carlos Perez, a cherished soul known for his friendly demeanor, courageous heart, and spirited nature, completed his earthly journey on March 15, 2026, in his hometown of Mission, Texas. Born on February 11, 1975, to Francisco Perez Jr and Maria Eugenia (Mercado) Perez, who preceded him in death, Juan Carlos's life was a testament to the love and values instilled by his family.

Juan Carlos's life was anchored by his beloved wife, Karina Lopez, whose companionship and support were his constant source of joy. His journey was further enriched by the bonds he shared with his brothers, Frank Perez III, and Oscar Ignacio Perez (Cristina Guzman), and his adored sister, Rita Yvette Perez Garcia (Victor Manuel Garcia). The light of his life shines brightly in the laughter and adventures he shared with his numerous nieces and nephews, who will carry his legacy forward.

A proud native of Mission, Texas, Juan Carlos remained deeply connected to his roots throughout his life. He laid a foundation for a life of dedication and commitment to his community.

As we bid farewell to Juan Carlos Perez, his life will be honored and celebrated with a Funeral Mass on Friday, March 20th, 2026, at 11 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, located at 620 N. Dunlap Ave., Mission. The visitation will take place on the same day from 3 pm to 9 pm, with the Holy Rosary recited at 7 pm at Rivera Funeral Home, 1813 N. Conway Ave., Mission. A cremation will follow at a later date, in accordance with his wishes.

Juan Carlos will be carried to his final farewell by his loved ones, who serve as pallbearers: Oscar Ignacio Perez, Francisco Antonio Garza, Victor Dion Garcia, James Rupert, Aaron Jay Gonzalez, Pedro Galvan (Piti), Juan Jesus Mercado, and Josue Espinoza. These individuals, who stood by him in life, will now have the honor of accompanying him on his final journey.

His departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, yet the memories of his kindness and bravery will continue to inspire and comfort us all. Juan Carlos Perez will be deeply missed, yet his spirit will live on through the many lives he touched with his warmth and generosity. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love that he so freely gave to others during his time among us.
