Juan M. Ortiz. Sr.

Juan M. Ortiz Sr., of Mission, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. He was 74 years old and was born on July 27, 1951, in San Juan, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.

He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Ramiro Ortiz Sr. †, Natividad Ortiz †, and his brother, Ramiro Ortiz Jr.†

Juan is survived by his beloved wife of over 50 years, Maria D. Ortiz.  Together, they built a family that was Juan's pride and joy. His children, Juan M. Ortiz Jr., Emily O. Torres, Alberto Ortiz, and Brenda Lee Ortiz, were the embodiment of his spirit and love. He also leaves behind 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

His family will always remember his laughter, kindness, smile, and joy he brought into their lives.  Although he is no longer with us, the love he shared and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Viewing for Juan will be held on Thursday, March 12th, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home, 1813 N Conway Ave, in Mission with the Holy Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm.
