Mission ~ Juan T. Guerrero, 70, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at Comfort House in McAllen. He was born on Thursday, September 22, 1949 in Mission, Texas, the son of Manuel and Irene Consuelo (Galindo) Guerrero. Mr. Guerrero had lived in Mission all his live. He was a Jack-of-all-trades. He helped in the construction of Mission Hospital. He served both Mission and La Joya schools as custodian for many years. He enjoyed family time and had a great passion for dancing. Juan was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter: Denise Garcia; and three siblings: Jose Guerrero, Juan Alvarado and Natividad Guadalupe Guerrero.
He is survived by his loving wife: Alma Delia (Cisneros) Guerrero; children: Juan Thomas Guerrero, Jr., Angel Guerrero, Enrique Guerrero, Roxanne Guerrero, Juan Antonio Gaitan and Jose Luis Gaitan; brother: Marcos Guerrero; sister: Maria Chavez; 16 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm Thursday, February 6, 2020 with the recital of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home of Mission. A Celebration of Life Mass will be said at 10:00 at Friday, February 7, 2020 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of Mission.
