Luis Calderon

McAllen ~ Luis Calderon, 84, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Saturday, June 21, 1941 in Silao, Guanajuato, Mexico, the son of the late Sebastian Calderon and the late Jacinta Gonzalez. 

He is survived by his loving wife: Maria G. Calderon Hernandez; his children: Maria Elena Calderon, Leticia Garcia, Elizabeth Cortinas, Norma Medrano, Luis Angel Calderon, and Brenda Calderon; his siblings; Francisca Gonzalez, Maria Elena Calderon, Carmela Calderon, and Gilberto Calderon; 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, with a Holy Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home, 1901 Pecan Blvd., McAllen. Chapel Service will be held at 9:00 am on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Rivera Funeral Home in McAllen. Interment will follow at 10:00 am at La Piedad Cemetery, 1801 Wichita Ave., McAllen.

Service arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.
