Mr. Luis R. Gamboa,82, entered eternal rest on Friday, November 2, 2018 at the Paxvilla Hospice facility in McAllen. Luis was born on August 19, 1936 in Edinburg to Genaro and Felicitas (Rodriguez) Gamboa. Luis was a life long resident of McAllen. Luis loved to be with his kids and grand kids and was a grand supporter of Driscolls Children's Hospital in Corpus Christi. Luis enjoyed "hanging out" on 18th St. in McAllen and going to Star Lite burger. Luis truly enjoyed life to its fullest.

Luis R. Gamboa will forever be in the hearts of his family where his legacy will continue to live through his children,grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sons- Ricardo and Juan D. Gamboa.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife: Gloria N. Gamboa; His children- Luis Gamboa, Jr., Ernesto Gamboa, Heriberto (Martha) Gamboa, Santiago Gamboa, Irene (Juan Enrique) Davila, Javier Gamboa, Norma Elizabeth Gamboa, Irma Linda Trevino, Eduardo (Diana) Gamboa, Luis Armando (Natashia) Gamboa, Aileen Lozano, Diana Robledo, Eduardo Robledo, Edgar Salinas and Angelica Trevino; Siblings: Francisca (Agustin) Rodriguez,Leticia (Adan) Ramirez and Jaime Gamboa; 38 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends will take place on Monday, November 5, 2018 at Rivera Funeral Home,1901 Pecan Blvd in McAllen from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm with the recital of the Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Sacred Heart Church in McAllen at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at La Piedad cemetery in McAllen.
