Edinburg ~ Manuel Treviño, 71, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at his home in Edinburg. He was born on Wednesday, April 6, 1949 in Rancho San Jose, Tamaulipas, Mexico, the son of Luz and Maria (Rodriguez) Treviño. Mr. Treviño had worked for ECISD for 22 years and he retired in 2020. He lived in Edinburg for most of his life. He was always positive, never lost his faith, and was so grateful for another day of life. He cherished his wife, daughters, sons-in-law, and his grandchildren above all else.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Rene Treviño and Benito Treviño.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years: Inocencia Treviño; two daughters: Luzdivina (Mike) Treviño Gómez and Elizabeth (Alfredo) Treviño Marroquin; his siblings: Esther Treviño, Francisco Treviño, Celedonio Treviño, Daniel Treviño, Leonel Treviño, Maria de la Luz Treviño Ramirez and Celia Treviño Vera; grandchildren: Oscar Gonzalez, Alyssa Gonzalez, Abigail Elsie Gómez, Michael Diego Gómez, and Samantha Kate Gómez.
Viewing will be held from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Monday, September 7, 2020 with a Holy Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home, 1901 Pecan Blvd., McAllen. Funeral Mass will be held at 100 pm on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 215 N. 16th Ave., Edinburg. Interment will follow at 2:00 pm atH illcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, 1701 E. Richardson Rd., Edinburg. Service arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.
