Mission ~ Manuela Gonzalez Cortez, 77, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday June 3, 2025 at South Texas Health System McAllen. She was born on Monday April 5, 1948 in Alta Vista, Los Ramones, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, the daughter of Francisco Gonzalez Juarez and Soledad Cortez Garcia.
She is survived by her husband: Felipe Vega Robles; sons: Felipe Vega Gonzalez and Javier Vega Gonzalez; daughters: Maria de los Angeles Vega Gonzalez, Leticia Vega Gonzalez, Veronica Vega Gonzalez and Norma Vega Gonzalez; siblings: Maria del Carmen Gonzalez Cortez, Francisco Gonzalez Cortez, San Juana Gonzalez Cortez and Rafela Gonzalez Cortez; 25 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, June 5, 2025 with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home LLC, 1813 N. Conway Ave., Mission. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, June 6, 2025 at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church, 621 W. Main Ave., Alton. Interment will take place at 11:00 am on Friday, June 6, 2025 at Santa Fe Celestial Gardens Cemetery, 5050 3 Mile Line Rd, Mission.
Service arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.
