Manuela Ibanez

Manuela de Atoche Ibanez Benavides, age 81, was born in San Fernando, Tamaulipas, and resided most of her life in Pharr, Texas. Surrounded b y her loving family, our beloved mother passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Santiago Ibanez Jr. Manuela was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her greatest pride and joy in life were her children, and she devoted herself wholeheartedly to their care and happiness.

She is survived by her six children: Santiago Ibanez III (Elva), Joel Angel Ibanez (Alicia), Elvira Ibanez, Jorge Ibanez (Liza), Juanita Rendon (Manuel Alberto), and Estrella Ibanez. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Joel Angel Jr., Starleen Vida, Pedro Felix, Angela Lauryn, John Paul, and Isabella, as well as her adored great-grandchildren: Samuel, Felix and Xantiago.

Manuela's legacy of love, strength, and family devotion will live on in each of us. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. 

Visitations will be held 4:00 pm to 9:00  pm Wednesday, April 9, 2025 with the recital of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Celebration of Life Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church in Pharr, Texas. Cremation services will follow. 

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.
