Marcelina R. Peña Ybarra

McAllen ~ Marcy, 90, passed peacefully into eternity on May 29, 2022. Marcy was born on January 16, 1932 in Harlingen, TX.

She is survived by her husband of 25 years: Bartolo Ybarra, III of La Grulla; four sister: Maria Rocha, Connie Perez, Jesusa Contreras and Yolanda Salinas; two brothers: Roy Rocha and Jose Rocha.

She is preceded in death by her daughter: Gloria and Martin Peña.

Marcy was a devoted wife, church member at Emmanuel Baptist Church. Marcy enjoyed reading, serving and helping people in every which was she could. Laughter was a must for her. She will be missed and remembered by her family, church and her community.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Monday, June 6, 2022 with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:30 am on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission. Service arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.
