Marcelino Garza, Sr.

San Juan - Marcelino Garza, Sr., 88, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 in McAllen. He was born on Saturday, May 2, 1936 in Los Ramones, Nuevo Leon, Mexico the son of Fructuoso Garza and Olivia (Martinez) Garza. He is preceded in death by his parents; and three siblings: Conrado Garza, Gregorio Garza and Elida Cantu.

He is survived by his loving wife: Alicia A. Garza; children: Aracelia (Gerardo) Vazquez, Maribel (Mario) Cordova, Marcelino (Patricia) Garza, and Anwar Garza; siblings: Frutuoso Garza, Merardo Garza, Luis Rey Garza, Enedelia Garza and Hermila de la Garza; three grandchildren: Daffne, Natalie and Kaylen; one grandchild: Laurentina.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm Friday, October 18, 2024 with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Funeral Mass will be held at 2:30 pm Friday, October 18, 2024 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will be held at 11:00 at Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Roselawn Cemetery of McAllen.
