Margarita L. Lanfranco

McAllen ~  Margarita L. Lanfranco, 80, entered eternal rest on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at her home in Edinburg. She was born on Saturday, August 24, 1940 in McAllen, the daughter of Pedro and Francisca (Portales) Liscano. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister: Elena Castillo and brothers: Manuel Liscano and Pedro Liscano Jr. 

Margarita was married to Martin S. Lanfranco for 50 years; she enjoyed family gatherings, reading, sitting outside her home and traveling especially to San Antonio. She was a former resident of San Jose, California, San Diego and a resident of Edinburg, Texas since 1978.

She is survived by her loving husband: Martin S. Lanfranco; children: Esther Sanchez, Daniel Mejia, Roberto (Leticia) Mejia and Rose (Daniel) Lanfranco Siller; six grandchildren: Michael (Erika) Mejia, Lori Mejia, Miranda (Joseph) Mejia Hernandez, Amanda (Lucas) Sanchez, Mariah Mejia, and Abby Sanchez; four great-grandchildren: Vincent Mejia, Delaney Mejia, Aiden Adame, and Kyrrabree Hernandez. 

Visitations will be held from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm Sunday, June 27, 2021 at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen with the Holy Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm. Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10: am Monday, June 28, 2021 at Rivera Funeral Home in McAllen. Interment will follow at La Piedad Cemetery. Service arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.
