Maria Delfina Almendarez, 78, entered eternal rest on Thursday, August 13, 2026, in McAllen, Texas.

Born on May 6, 1948, in McAllen, Texas, Maria was the daughter of Juan Jose Solis and Eloisa Torres. Throughout her life, Maria’s greatest blessings were found within her family. She shared her life with her beloved husband, Domingo Almendarez, and together they built a family that would grow to include children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Maria will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Domingo Almendarez; her children, Jose Rafael Salinas, Armando Almendarez, and Nancy Eloise Rodriguez; her sister, Maria Esther Solis; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Her life will continue to be remembered through the family she leaves behind and the many memories they shared throughout the years. Though her presence will be deeply missed, the love she gave and the place she held within her family will remain a lasting part of their lives. She will be remembered with love, cherished in memory, and carried forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home in McAllen. Cremation will follow at a later date.
