Maria De Jesus Ortiz Gonzalez

McAllen ~ Maria de Jesus Ortiz Gonzalez, 97, went to sleep peacefully and entered her eternal home on Friday, December 6, 2024. She was born on Christmas Day the year 1926, the daughter of Felipe Ortiz and Rita Ortiz. 

She was preceded in death recently by her husband Eusebio Gonzalez in 2020.

She is survived by her children: Ruben and Carmen Gonzalez, Socorro Vasquez, Juanita Garcia, Carmen Gaytan, Arturo and Sally Gonzalez, 13 Grandchildren and 27 Great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter.   

Gathering of family and friends will be held from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Thursday, December 12, 2024 with the recital of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Celebration of Life Mass will be held at 10:00 am Friday, December 13, 2024 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at 11:00 am at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission. Service arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.
