Her early childhood years were spent in Donna, TX until the family moved to McAllen when she was 8 years old. In 1957, she married Jose Zamora (Pastor) and they started their married life together in Jame, Coahuila. She will always be remembered for her unselfish character. It was not uncommon for her to help feed and clothe total strangers who reminded her of her own early struggles.
