Maria Del Rosario Villalobos

Maria Del Rosario Villalobos, 60, of Edinburg, Texas, passed away peacefully at her home in Mission, Texas, on August 14, 2026.

Maria was a loving, caring, and giving woman whose greatest joy in life was her family and friends. She had a beautiful heart and a way of making the people around her feel loved and welcomed. She was the kind of person who would give from the heart and always made time for the people she cared about. Her presence brought warmth, laughter, and love wherever she went.

Maria loved spending time with the people closest to her. She enjoyed spending her weekends at the maquinitas with her husband, Orlin, making memories and enjoying each other's company. She especially cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren. Their smiles, laughter, and time together brought her so much happiness. She also loved bringing the family together for BBQs, where everyone could gather around, enjoy good food, share stories, laugh, dance, and make memories that will now be treasured forever.

Maria was a woman who loved life and loved being surrounded by the people she loved. She will be remembered for her caring heart, her generosity, her love of dancing, and the happiness she found in having her family together. The memories she created with her loved ones will continue to live on for generations to come.

Maria will be deeply missed by her husband, Orlin Mercado, as well as her children, Valdemar (Crystal) Villalobos,Maximiliano Villalobos, and  Melissa (Marc) Villalobos as well as her beloved grandchildren, Valdemar Jr., Valerie, Emma, and Mark Jr.

She also leaves behind her siblings, Raul (Yadri), Ramiro, Manuel (Monica) and Felisita Garcia, along with many other family members and friends whose lives she touched with her kindness, generosity, laughter, and love.

Although her family is heartbroken by her passing, they find comfort in knowing that Maria is no longer suffering and is now reunited with her beloved Mom and Dad. While she may no longer be here in person, her love will remain in the hearts of everyone who knew her.

Her children will carry her love with them, her grandchildren will grow up surrounded by the memories she gave them, and her family will continue to come together, just as she loved sharing laughter, dancing, and stories of the woman who meant so much to them.

Maria's life was a gift to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her love, kindness, and beautiful spirit will never be forgotten.

She will forever be loved, forever missed, and forever remembered.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 17, 2026 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Prayer Service to be held at 6:00 pm and a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home in Mission. Cremation is set to follow.
