Maria Ester Martinez

Maria Ester Martinez, 70, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at Doctor's Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. She was born on Thursday 19, 1956, in McAllen, the daughter of Juventino Saldivar and Clementina Duran. Maria lived a life of service to her community. She was a retired cafeteria manager for the local school district and was a proud high school graduate.

Maria was preceded in death by her parents, Juventino Saldivar and Clementina Duran.

She is survived by her siblings, Maria Janie Saldivar and Juventino Saldivar Jr. She also leaves behind her beloved nieces and nephews: Jose Adan Saenz Jr., Adnan Billescas, Siomara Saenz-Phillips, Juventino Saldivar III, Aries Saldivar, and Steven Saldivar.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm Saturday, June 27, 2026 with the Holy Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home, 1901 Pecan Blvd., McAllen. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.
