Maria Antonia Lopez de Vargas

Pharr ~ Maria Antonia Lopez de Vargas, 71, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at McAllen Medical Center. She was born on Sunday, May 10, 1953 in Artesitas, Tamaulipas, Mexico, the daughter of Teodocio Lopez and Anita Varela.

She is survived by her husband: Francisco Vargas; her children: Francisco Javier Vargas, Jr., Myrna Patricia Vargas and Oscar Alberto Vargas; siblings: Guadalupe Maldonado, Socorro Lopez and Juan Lopez; six grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm Thursday, August 29, 2024 with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Graveside Service and Interment will be held at 11:00 am Friday, August 30, 2024 at San Juan Cemetery in San Juan. Service arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.
