Maria Soledad Flores

McAllen ~ Maria Soledad Flores, 95, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Tuesday, February 19, 1929 in Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, Mexico, the daughter of Luis Flores and Rafaela Lopez. Maria enjoyed sewing, traveling, and gardening and loved her favorite shades of pink.

She is preceded in death by her parents. 

Left to cherish her memory are her children; Armando Ruiz of Aguas Calientes, Mexico and Marisol Nieto of McAllen; sisters; Joaquina Pena of Mexico City, Josefina Garcia of Puebla, Mexico, Gertrudis Flores of Matamoros, Mexico and Ninfa Perez of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren; Melanie and Adrian Ruiz of Mexico, Jaime A. Nieto and Jose Luis Nieto of McAllen.

Viewing will be held from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Friday, September 20, 2024 with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Service arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.
