Maria Guadalupe "Lupita" Colorado

Hermanos, nos reunimos aquí hoy para celebrar la vida y el legado de un alma extraordinaria, María Guadalupe Colorado, conocida cariñosamente por todos nosotros como Lupita. Nació el 9 de diciembre del año de nuestro Señor 1961, en la vibrante ciudad de Reynosa, Tamaulipas, México, y fue un faro de amor y alegría que brilló con fuerza hasta su tranquila partida el 7 de marzo de 2025 en McAllen, Texas.

Lupita fue una mujer de fe profunda, un pilar de fortaleza y la personificación del amor. La precedieron en la muerte sus queridos padres, Juan Castillo y Consuelo Zamarripa. Su vida fue un testimonio del poder de la familia, pues fue una hermana muy querida por Juanita Castillo, Julia Rodríguez, Leticia Castillo, Tammy Bernal y Consuelo Charles. Su legado sigue vivo a través de sus amados hijos: Luis, Juan, Angie, Aaron y Liza, quienes fueron la joya de sus ojos, además de sus diecisiete nietos y tres bisnietos, quienes le trajeron una alegría inmensa.

Nuestra querida Lupita era una mujer que encontraba la felicidad en los placeres sencillos de la vida. Disfrutaba de la calidez de una buena taza de café compartida con amigos, de la risa y el amor que llenaban el ambiente en las reuniones familiares, y de los momentos valiosos con sus nietos, que eran las joyas de su corona. Su pasión por las compras solo era superada por su amor por su colección de perfumes y zapatos, cada uno con una historia especial de un momento o lugar que le era significativo.

Como devota católica, la fe de Lupita fue la base de su vida. Asistía a la iglesia con un corazón lleno de fervor, abrazaba a su comunidad y encontraba consuelo en la gracia del Señor. Su valentía frente a las adversidades de la vida fue fuente de inspiración, y su espíritu apasionado fue una luz que guió a todos los que la conocieron.

Lupita fue la personificación del amor en su forma más pura. Su abrazo compasivo era un refugio para los cansados, su risa una melodía que levantaba los ánimos, y su apoyo incondicional una base sobre la que muchos construyeron sus sueños. Caminaba por la vida con un corazón valiente, enfrentando cada día con una pasión que encendía esa misma pasión en los demás.

Hoy, al despedirnos de nuestra amada Lupita, hagámoslo con gratitud por el tiempo que tuvimos la bendición de compartir con ella. Guardemos los recuerdos, las lecciones y el amor que nos dio. Porque aunque ella haya partido de este mundo terrenal, su espíritu vive: en el susurro del viento, la fragancia de una flor y la risa de sus nietos.

Cometemos a nuestra querida Lupita al Todopoderoso, sabiendo que ahora descansa en paz eterna, abrazada por los brazos amorosos de nuestro Creador. Que su alma, por la misericordia de Dios, descanse en paz. Amén!

Brethren, we gather here today to celebrate the life and legacy of a remarkable soul, Maria Guadalupe Colorado, known affectionately to us all as Lupita. Born on the 9th of December in the year of our Lord 1961, in the vibrant town of Reynosa, Mexico, she was a beacon of love and joy that shone brightly until her peaceful passing on the 7th of March, 2025, in McAllen, Texas.

Lupita was a woman of devout faith, a pillar of strength, and the embodiment of love. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Juan Castillo and Consuelo Zamarripa. Her life was a testament to the power of family, as she was a cherished sister to Juanita Castillo, Julia Rodriguez, Leticia Castillo, Tammy Bernal, and Consuelo Charles. Her legacy continues through her loving children - Luis, Juan, Angie, Aaron, and Liza - who were the apples of her eye, along with her seventeen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable joy.

Our dear Lupita was a woman who found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. She relished in the warmth of a good cup of coffee shared with friends, the laughter and love that filled the room at family gatherings, and the precious moments spent with her grandchildren, who were the jewels in her crown. Her passion for shopping was matched only by her love for her collection of perfumes and shoes, each piece telling a story of a special time or place.

A devoted Catholic, Lupita's faith was the cornerstone of her existence. She attended church with a fervent heart, embracing her community and finding solace in the grace of the Lord. Her courage in the face of life's trials was a source of inspiration, and her passionate spirit was a guiding light to all who knew her.

Lupita was the embodiment of love in its purest form. Her compassionate embrace was a refuge for the weary, her laughter a melody that lifted spirits, and her unwavering support a foundation upon which many built their dreams. She walked through life with a courageous heart, facing each day with a passion that ignited the same in others.

Today, as we bid farewell to our beloved Lupita, let us do so with gratitude for the time we were blessed to share with her. Let us hold tight to the memories, the lessons, and the love she bestowed upon us.
