Mary Oliva

Mary Oliva, 62, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, in McAllen, Texas.

Mary was born on October 8, 1963, in Victoria, Texas, to Pedro Licerio and Lorenza Castillo. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life will be lovingly remembered by all those fortunate enough to have known her.

Mary leaves behind a family who loved her deeply and will forever cherish the memories they shared with her. She is survived by her loving husband, Alfredo Oliva; her children, Freddy Oliva, Rachel Oliva, Diana Oliva, and Isabel Mechergui Oliva; as well as her 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her siblings, Inez Jalomo, Martina Ponce, Estella Licerio Lopez, Ray Licerio, Robert Licerio, Louis Licerio, Janet Licerio Conchola, Esperanza Licerio Amaro, Sanjuanita Licerio Hernandez, San Pedro Jr. Gonzalez, and Francis Gonzalez, along with numerous extended family members and loved ones who will continue to carry her memory in their hearts.

Mary’s memory will live on through the love she shared, the family she leaves behind, and the many lives she touched throughout her 62 years. Though her presence will be deeply missed, the memories made with her will remain a treasured part of her family’s lives for generations to come.
