For many years, Mary worked diligently to create the most well crafted events at Quinta Mazatlan, including dozens of weddings and recently had moved to assist at the McAllen Public Library. She utilized her organizational skills to serve her church community as well. Mary was a Sunday school teacher, a Vacation Bible School organizer and MC, a Noche Aleluya MC and a Marriage Retreat team member. Mary's love for family travel also benefitted from her resourcefulness. Disney cruises and weekend trips to San Antonio were staples in the family's life because of Mary. Nothing could make Mary beam more brightly than sharing a story about the latest accomplishment from her daughters. Mary and Eddie truly were best friends. Their marriage was full of love, trust, admiration, and natural respect. Each always searching for ways to make the other smile. Mary's faith was steadfast and all encompassing. Her family takes solace in knowing that one day, through faith, they will be reunited.

Mary will always be remember for being genuine and for treating everyone with love, kindness, and respect. She was known to light up any room with her beaming smile. Mary was a true fan of the Dallas Cowboys and would root for them every Sunday. She loved making people smile and learning new things. She enjoyed spending as much time with her husband and daughters. She was passionate about everything she did and was a servant of our Lord. She was a generous person who always looked for ways she could give a helping hand. She dedicated more than 10 years working for the City of McAllen.
