Maurilia Sanchez Obituary
Edinburg - Maurilia S. Sanchez, 81, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at her home in Edinburg surrounded by her family. She was born on September 13, 1935 in Odem, Texas to Ignacio and Julia Silva. Mrs. Sanchez was a long time resident of Edinburg. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Alvaro Sanchez, and three siblings.
Left to cherish her memory are her children; Janie (Oscar) Escamilla, Alonso (Pat) Sanchez, Alvaro Sanchez, Jr., Thelma (Jorge) Garza, Arnoldo (Elsa) Sanchez, Andres Sanchez, Arturo (Hilda) Sanchez, Sonia (Jesse) Vasquez, and Alex (Margaret) Sanchez, 17 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Monday, January 09, 2017 at Rivera Funeral Home, 1901 Pecan Blvd, in McAllen from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM with the rosary at 7:00 PM. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday January 10, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow to Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Rivera Funeral Home in McAllen is in charge of the funeral arrangements. www.riverafuneralhomes.net
