Michael Anthony Perez

McAllen ~ Michael Anthony Perez was born on January 6, 1967, and passed away on January 28, 2026.

Michael worked in construction and owned a business specializing in rain gutters. He was exceptionally skilled with his hands and had a natural gift for fixing things, a talent that reflected both his work ethic and his care for others. Above all, Michael was a loving father with a heart of gold.

His laughter was contagious, and his vibrant personality could light up any room. Michael brought love, kindness, and warmth to everyone fortunate enough to know him. He had a deep love for the beach and cherished every moment he was able to spend there. Fishing was one of his greatest passions, especially because it allowed him to share time and joy with others.

Michael also loved music and found comfort and happiness playing the guitar. Cooking was another passion of his—he especially enjoyed barbecuing and spending quality time with family and friends, moments that truly completed him.

Michael was a kind and generous soul who will forever remain in our hearts. He will be missed immensely and was truly one of a kind. We love you dearly, Michael. You will continue to live on for eternity in our hearts and memories. One day we will meet again, but until then, your memory will remain strong in our minds and souls.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother: Melva Schulz; his sons: Jacob Perez and Justin Perez; his siblings: Pauline Schulz, Susan Perez Guzman, Lillian Perez, Jessica Perez and Mayor Al Perez; and one grandchild.

Memorial Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm Thursday, February 5, 2026 with a service at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.
