Nelson Garcia

Edinburg ~ Nelson Garcia, 41, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 in Houma, Louisiana. He was born on Saturday, July 14, 1984 in San Juan, Texas, the son of Victor M. Garcia and Rosa M. (Virrueta) Garcia. 

He is survived by his wife: Bianca Garza; child: Danaly Alaniz; siblings: Martha Colon, Daniel Garcia, Jorge Garcia, Rosa M. Garcia, Victor M. Garcia (Rita), Daisy Arrteaga (Filiberto), Ulises Garcia (Patricia Martinez), Teresa Gonzalez (David), Cesar Garcia (Alejandra), and Griselda Castillo (Porfirio).

Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 with a Holy Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home, 1813 N. Conway Ave., Mission. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 pm Thursday, April 16, 2026 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 620 N. Dunlap Ave., Mission. Interment will follow at 1:00 pm at Santa Fe Celestial Gardens, 5050 3 Mile Line Rd., Mission.
