Norma Alicia Gonzalez, 57, entered eternal sleep surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at the Mission Regional Hospital. Norma was born on February 2, 1963 in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico to Emilio Elizondo Cavazos and Lucia Bustos de Elizondo. 

She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Norma loved singing, dancing, gardening, and learning new things to incorporate into her everyday life. She was a compassionate and caring individual who never hesitated to lend a helping hand when others were in need. Norma lived life by following the word of God, and will forever be in the hearts of her family and those who came to know the beauty in her soul.

Norma was preceded in death by her father Emilio Elizondo Cavazos. Left to cherish her memory is her beloved daughter, Thania Libertad Gonzalez. Her mother, Lucia Bustos de Elizondo. Her siblings, Rafaela Elizondo de Martinez, Leticia Elizondo de Arguello, Emilio Elizondo Bustos, Jose Luis Elizondo Bustos, Rigoberto Elizondo Bustos and Lucia Elizondo de Mina. 

Viewing will be held on Sunday, May 24, 2020 at Rivera Funeral Home, located on 1901 Pecan Blvd., from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM with the recital of the Holy Rosary beginning at 3:00 PM.
