McALLEN a€" Olivia Maldonado Perez, 86, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2014 at home in McAllen. Olivia was born October 27, 1927 in Olfen, TX. She is the daughter of Venancio and Rosa (Olguin) Maldonado. She is preceded in death by her husband, Nicanor Perez; grandson, Rudy Caraveo, Jr.; brother, Emilio Maldonado; and sisters, Josepha Albiar and Aurora Perez.
She is survived by five daughters: Rosa Maria Perez, Yolanda Guerra, Hortencia Caraveo, Celia Perez and Adriana Alexi Mendoza; three sons, Nicanor Perez, Jr., Rogelio Perez and Jose Luis Perez; one brother: Gilberto Maldonado; 17 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm Friday, August 22, 2014 at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. A rosary will be held at 7:00 pm. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. www.riverafuneralhomes.net
