Orlando D Acuña, Jr.

McAllen ~ Orlando D. Acuña, Jr., a beacon of kindness and courage, passed away on March 7, 2026, in Edinburg, Texas, at the age of 23 and he was born on June 2, 2002, in McAllen, Texas.

Orlando is survived by his parents Isidro and Evelyn Salinas; grandparents: Ignacio and Blanca Garcia; his siblings: Eduardo Damian Acuña, Melanie Denise Acuña, and Christian Salinas.

Formerly with the McAllen PD, Orlando was deeply committed to community service. He was a vibrant, funny individual who cherished time spent with friends and family.

Visitation for Orlando will be held on Wednesday, March 11th, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home, 1901 Pecan Blvd., McAllen with the Holy Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm. 

Service arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.
