Paula "Paulita" Silva, a beacon of love and faith, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on December 5, 2023, in McAllen, TX, at the age of 79. Born on April 27, 1944, in Victoria, Tamaulipas, Paulita lived a life marked by devotion to her family, her faith, and the simple joys that make life beautiful.

Paulita's life was a testament to the power of love and devotion. She was the matriarch of a large and vibrant family, including her sons Alejandro, Raul, Erick, and Gerardo' her daughters Martha, Zoira, and Aide; and her cherished husband Alejandro, who preceded her in death. Her legacy continues through her 23 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, each of whom she adored deeply.

A woman of great faith, Paulita found solace and strength in her daily prayers and the sacred ritual of the rosary. Her devotion was a guiding light for her family, inspiring them to live with grace and compassion. Paulita's garden was a reflection of her soul, vibrant and full of life, tended with the same care and attention she gave to her loved ones. Her green thumb brought forth blooms that were as bright and welcoming as her smile.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm Sunday, December 10, 2023 at Rivera at Hillcrest Chapel in Edinburg with a Holy Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will beheld at 11:30 am Monday, December 11, 2023 at Holy Family Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at 1:00 pm at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.

El velorio se llevará a cabo de 4:00 pm a 9:00 pm el domingo 10 de diciembre de 2023 en Rivera at Hillcrest Chapel en Edinburg y se recitará el Santo Rosario a las 7:00 pm. Se llevará a cabo una misa de funeral a las 11:30 am el lunes 11 de diciembre de 2023 en la Iglesia Holy Family en Edinburg. El entierro seguirá a la 1:00 pm en Palm Valley Memorial Gardens en Pharr. Los arreglos funerarios han sido confiados al cuidado de Rivera Funeral Home de McAllen.
