Pauline Kay Martinez

Pharr ~ Pauline Kay Martinez, 76, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, April 26, 2022. Pauline was born in Nappanee, Indiana to the late Orlan J. Kohli and Erma Virginia Kohli. She is preceded in death by her son Jason Martinez, sister Eva Celeste Kohli, nephew William (Billy) Kohli and aunt Miriam.

Pauline was a very dedicated Wife and Mother. She graduated from New Paris H.S. in 1963 and married Jose Luis Martinez and moved to South Texas where they raised their 3 boys. She loved birds and just nature in general. She was known to have the biggest smile even in tough times. Now she is smiling in Heaven.

Pauline is survived by her loving husband: Jose L. Martinez; sons: Mark (Melinda) Martinez and Joey Martinez; grandchildren: Anthony Lee Martinez and Nathaniel Martinez; twin brother: Paul (Peggy) Kohli; brother: Steve (Tracy) Kohli; sister: Carol (Richard) Marks; nephews: Shawn Marks, Anthony (Andrea) Marks, Austin (Nancy) Kohli and Marshall (Amy) Kohli; cousins: Cora, Tom, Ron, Carl, Bob, Joyce, Dennis, Phil and many other cousins.

Visitations will be held from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday, May 2, 2022 at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen with a Prayer Service being held at 6:30 pm. Interment will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at Rio Grande Valley State Veteran's Cemetery in Mission. Service arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.
