Pedro Cruz, Jr.

Pedro Cruz Jr., 54, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on December 11, 1970, to his beloved parents Amalia Quintanilla Cruz and Pedro Cruz, Pedro lived a life defined by love, resilience, and devotion to those he cared for his family & friends.  He is preceded in death by his Father Pedro Cruz.

He is survived by his mother Amalia Quintanilla Cruz, his three cherished children, Coty Rene Cruz, Cassandra Cruz, and Casara Cruz, who were the greatest joys of his life and 4 grandchildren. Pedro also leaves behind six devoted siblings: four sisters—Susana Montes, Sylvia Serrata, Sandra Fuentes, and Sonia Iglesias—and two brothers, Salvador Cruz and Samuel Cruz. Pedro treasured the close bonds he shared with his siblings and the laughter and memories they created  together.

A celebration of Pedro’s life will take place on Saturday December 14th 2024 at Rivera Funeral Home in McAllen from 3pm to 9pm.  Family and friends are invited to honor and remember his remarkable journey in life.

Pedro will be remembered for his compassionate spirit, his unwavering dedication to his family, his big heart and his ability to bring joy to all those around him. His legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. May he rest in eternal peace.
