Raquel Elizalde Cardenas

McAllen ~ Raquel Elizalde Cardenas, 76, entered eternal rest on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at Doctor's Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. She was born on Friday, October 11, 1946 in Kingsville, TX. The daughter of Roberto Elizalde and Maria de Jesus Gaitan. Raquel enjoyed traveling to San Diego and Las Vegas and spending time with her kids and grandkids. She was a beloved mother and grandmother and she helped many people. She will be missed. She is preceded in death by her parents and a son: Adam Cardenas.

Raquel is survived by her loving children: Aaron Cardenas, Albert Cardenas, Andrew Cardenas and Angelique Elizalde; thirteen grandchildren; three siblings: Carmen Sosa, Janie Rivera and Roberto Elizalde.

Visitations will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm Monday, November 21, 2022 at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Funeral service and Interment will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Roselawn Cemetery in McAllen. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.
