Raul Gaytan Jr., 61, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 16, 1964 in McAllen, Texas the son of the late Raul Gaytan Sr.† and Elma Canales.
He is survived by his beloved wife: Ruby L. Gaytan; his children: Raul (Jennifer) Gaytan III and Ronny (Carol) Gaytan; his mother: Elma (Eugeno) Lucio; his siblings: John (Rita) Handley, Janie (Dario) Rangel, Yvonne (Juan) Suarez and Clarissa Lucio; and grandchildren: Olivia A. Gaytan, Ronny Gaytan Jr., Randen Gaytan, Renee J. Gaytan, Ryan J. Gaytan, and RaeLynn A. Gaytan.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm Thursday, June 4, 2026 with the Holy Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home, 1901 Pecan Blvd., McAllen. Celebration of Life Mass with be held at 2:00 pm Friday, June 5, 2026 at Saint Paul Catholic Church, 1119 N. Francisco Ave., Mission. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens, 3605 N. Taylor Rd., Mission.
