Raul Rodriguez, Sr.

Raul Rodriguez, Sr. a cherished husband, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2024, in McAllen, Texas. Born on February 7, 1947, in Los Herreras, Nuevo Leon, Raul's life journey was marked by his handy skills and creative spirit.

Raul's early years were spent in the vibrant and close-knit community of Los Herreras.

He is survived by his devoted wife of over 49 years, Ada Rodriguez, who was his partner in every aspect of life and his rock during times of trouble. Together, they built a family founded on love, laughter, and the joy of shared experiences.

Raul's legacy lives on through his sons, Raul Rodriguez Jr. and his wife Norma, and David Rodriguez and his wife Stephanie. He took immense pride in his children. His wisdom and guidance have been invaluable in shaping the lives of his sons and everyone he encountered. 

Raul’s grandchildren, Ada Yulissa, David, Daniel, Derrick, Raul III, and Damian Rodriguez will miss their grandfather's playful teasing and the stories that only he could tell. His great-grandchildren, Adriel Sebastian and Adalis Arlet Rodriguez, though young, will grow up knowing the great man he was through the cherished memories passed down to them.

Raul will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him, but his legacy will continue to inspire and influence generations to come. We take comfort in knowing that his journey has not ended but simply entered a new chapter beyond our sight, filled with the same joy and love that he shared with us every day.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm Tuesday, December 17, 2024 with the Holy Rosary being recited at 6:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. A Chapel Service will be held at 9:30 am on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at Rivera Funeral Home. Interment will follow at 11:00 am at Santa Fe Celestial Gardens in Mission. Services have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.
