Obituary
McAllen ~ Raul Tapia, 86 years, entered eternal rest on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at his residence in McAllen. He was born on November 26, 1935 in San Juan de la Vega, Guanajuato, Mexico. Raul enjoyed fishing, playing poker and going to Las Vegas. His is preceded in death by his beloved wife: Oralia N. Tapia; parents: Nicholas Tapia and Mercedes (Piña) Tapia; two brothers and one sister.
He is survived by two daughters: Maricela Tapia and Marina Valencia; grandchildren: Raul Brewster, Amber Valencia, and Dillon Valencia; brothers and sisters: Florencia, Guadalupe, Pedro, Celia and Yrene Mancera Tapia; numerous nieced and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Celebration of Life Mass will be said at 1:30 pm at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Edinburg.
Raul will be dearly missed by family and friends whose lives he touched.
