Ricardo Puga Martinez

McAllen~ Ricardo Puga Martinez, age 69, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2026. He was born on March 2, 1956, and is now reunited in eternal rest with his beloved parents, Juan and Demetria Puga, whose love and guidance shaped his life and whom he carried in his heart always.

Ricardo was a devoted husband to Blanca Estela Puga, and a deeply loving father to Sujei Lee Garza, Deborah Lee Puga, Blanca Estela Sojak, Ricardo Puga Jr., Reina Elizabeth Ochoa, Juan Pablo Puga, and Sasha Lee Puga. His greatest joy was his family, and his love only grew stronger with each generation. He was a proud grandfather to 19 grandchildren and a cherished great-grandfather to 3 great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in his heart.

Raised around agriculture, Ricardo learned the value of hard work, responsibility, and perseverance from a young age lessons he carried with him throughout his life. He later became a proud retiree of GE Aviation, where he dedicated many years of loyal service. Known for his strong work ethic, humility, and integrity, Ricardo worked tirelessly, loved deeply, and always placed his family above all else.

Though he will be profoundly missed, we find comfort in knowing that he is at peace, embraced by his parents and welcomed into eternal rest.

Services will be private.
