Born on August 12, 1938, in Clifftop, West Virginia, to Glenn and Georgia (Neal) Butcher, Butch's life was a testament to the power of love, humor, and friendship.
Butch's early years in West Virginia set the stage for a life full of joy and hard work. He carried these values with him throughout his life, touching the hearts of all who knew him. His laughter was infectious, and his presence could light up any room. Butch was a man who knew the importance of family and community, and he dedicated himself to both with unwavering commitment.

Butch's legacy is carried on by his beloved wife, Rose Marie Butcher, and their blended family, which was a cornerstone of his life. He was a guiding light for his children, Richard (Kim) Butcher, Twila (Jeffrey) Walters, and David (Paula) Butcher. His stepdaughters, Sherry (Mark) Hathaway and Cindy (Rusty) Elliott, also held a special place in his heart. Butch was a loving grandfather to Jill (Issac) Saunders, Cara (Corey) Luce, T.R. Stout, Jenny Stout, Korey (Laura) Walters, Katherine Walters (Fiancé Mike Hessler), Matt Riffle, Chris (Jenna) Riffle, Austin Elliott, Allie (Tyler) Cooper, and Shelby Elliott, as well as several great-grandchildren who will miss his warmth and wisdom.
Butch was a brother to James (Carolyn) Butcher and Jerry (Betty) Butcher, who, along with his extended family, will remember him as a beacon of kindness and camaraderie. He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Cynthia Lynn (Butcher) Stout, his sisters Joan (George) Hissom and June (Russell) Chandler, and his brothers-in-law George Hissom and Russell Chandler.

In keeping with his wishes cremation will take place, There will be no calling hours, a private grave ceremony will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family in Greenlawn Cemetery in Frankfort, Ohio
